How Much Does Carpet Cleaning Cost in Connecticut?

"How much is it?" is the first question almost everyone asks — and one a lot of companies won't answer until someone is standing in your living room. We think you should know before you book, so here's how carpet cleaning is priced in central Connecticut and exactly what we charge.

How carpet cleaning is usually priced

Most companies price carpet by the room, by the square foot, or with a minimum charge plus extras. Per-room pricing is the easiest to understand, but always ask what counts as a "room" — some companies treat a large living/dining space as two rooms, and hallways and stairs are often priced separately.

Our published prices

  • Carpet: 2 rooms $119.95 · 3 rooms $179.95 · 4 rooms $239.95 · each additional room +$60
  • Upholstery: sofa $129.95 · love seat $109.95 · recliner or chair $59.95 · sectionals from $199.95 depending on size
  • Tile & grout: $129.95 for the first 100 sq ft, then $1.00 per sq ft
  • Area rugs: $50–$100 each, depending on size and condition

Stairs and hallways are priced when we confirm your appointment. You can add everything up yourself with our instant estimate tool — it uses these same prices.

What changes the price

  • Size and number of areas. More rooms, stairs and hallways mean more time.
  • Soil level. Carpet that hasn't been cleaned in years, or high-traffic lanes, may need extra pre-treatment.
  • Pet accidents and odors. Urine that has reached the pad takes more work than surface dirt.
  • Furniture and upholstery. Sectionals vary a lot in size, so they're priced by size.
  • Rug type. A small synthetic runner and a large, heavily soiled rug aren't the same job.

How to avoid surprise charges

Ask for the price in writing before work starts, ask what's included (pre-treatment, spot treatment, deodorizing), and ask whether moving furniture costs extra. Be wary of very low "whole house" advertised prices — the low price sometimes covers only a basic pass, with the real cost added on site. Our rule is simple: you'll always know the price before we start.

Is the cheapest option worth it?

A low price that leaves soap residue or soaked carpet often costs more in the long run — the carpet re-soils faster and needs cleaning again sooner. You're paying for equipment, training and results, not just time. Our customers often mention the value: "I could have hired a corporate company — I would have paid double what I did," one wrote in a Google review.
